Who We Are

We are a local body of Jesus followers who love God and seek to love others with the love of Christ. We are not a perfect church, as there is none, but are a family of sinners redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Our church was started in 1975, and we have seen the Lord do much over these past few decades. We are moving forward with excitement for the future!

Thank you for visiting our website! We hope to see you on our campus in the near future. Please learn more about our Core Values and our Mission Statement below as well as more of what we believe.

What We Believe

Northwest Baptist Church affiliates and supports the Southern Baptist Convention but is also, like all Southern Baptist Churches, fully autonomous. We support the Cooperative Program (entity of the SBC) and affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 (click here to view the BFM in its entirety).

Our Purpose:

To make more and better disciples by being a place where everyone is for the ONE.

Our Strategy:

Celebrate

Celebrate weekly the resurrection of Jesus and the transformational power of the gospel by gathering together for engaging worship and the proclamation of God’s Word.

Connect

Connect in transformational groups to authentically share life and to apply God’s Word to make disciples who make disciples.

Contribute

Contribute our spiritual gifts and financial resources to build up the body of Christ, and reach the next generation by the gospel and FOR the gospel.

Our Values:

FOR the Gospel + FOR Gainesville + FOR You

FOR the Gospel

I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

1 Corinthians 2:2

FOR Gainesville

But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Jeremiah 29:7

FOR You

We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.

1 Thessalonians 2:8
